Umpiring

Valley View Eagles has such a rich history in umpiring, I thought it was about time we had a page or 2 to cover some of our history and include some information related to umpiring. Most of the info accessed from this page is gleaned from other sources, but may be of interest to many of the umpires from this club and others.

The best, and certainly highest achieving Umpire coming from our club is Neville Lawrence. Neville is a Level 8 whose highest achievement was umpiring during the Gold Medal Match at the Olympic Games. Other umpires who have reached National Representation are Roly Galaboff and Steve Hunt who have both reached Level 5. Denis Peacock (who was our longest serving umpire) achieved his Level 3.
