Valley View Eagles Softball Club have a had a very successful year both on
the field and off the field with regards to our fundraising efforts and
grant applications. To recognise the contributors a Certificate of
Appreciation was presented by our President, Judith Lukas to those
organistions and individuals who have assisted us during this season.

Judith with Bob Gregory

Bob Gregory, besides being Cathy’s Dad is also the President of the Modbury
Lions Club. The Modbury Lions supported our club this season by donating a
significant sum of money after the New Years Eve Bunnings BBQ. This
donation has assisted in the purchase of equipment specifically new bats.

Anne-Marie is a councillor in the Northfield Ward for the Port Adelaide &
Enfield COuncil and she attended out Quiz NIght where she accepted on behalf
of Port Adelaide & Enfield COuncil a Certificate of Appreciation in
recognition of the grant received. The grant amount of $450.00 has enabled
the club to purchase much needed new playing shirts for our Modball team.

VVESC AGM Approaches!

Dear Life Members and Club Members,

The Valley View Eagles Softball Club AGM will be held at: 32 Queensborough Ave, Hillcrest, entering off Fosters Road, on the 9th of August, at 7pm. ( Cathy Gregory’s house.)

All committee positions become vacant at that time and I invite all members to consider whether or not they are interested in a position on the committee. I’m only too happy to talk to anyone about the various positions, and what they entail. In many cases no more than a couple of hours per week, at a maximum. This season we operated without a Secretary which I would not like to see occur for a second season.

I invite nominations for Honorary Life Members to be made in writing at the AGM, criteria for Honorary Members is contained in the Club Constitution, which I can provide to anyone interested in making a nomination.
I ask all committee members and coaches to provide a brief written report for the season, this can be sent to me before the evening.

Please forward this to any members you know have recently changed their e-mail address.

Kind Regards,

Judith Lukas

President VVESC
