Pre-season Training & New Committee Announced

Preseason Training will commence on Sunday 22nd at 2pm. Please note that this is a change in date from which was previously advised. We will be training at Duncan Fraser Reserve, Rowe Avenue, Northfield. All new players are welcome, so if you have any friends that are interested in playing can you please forward this e-mail through to them. Also if you know of any members who have changed their e-mail address or not on e-mail can you please let then know. The association is looking at getting a boys junior competition up and running, so if you know boys under the age of 15 that would be interested please ask them to come along. In addition, the club would also like to nominate for u15 girls and a modball team (mixed), so if you know of anyone again please forward the information through to them. The committee is also calling for nominations for coaches. At this stage, we are planning to nominate 3 senior teams (at a minimum) and the junior teams as stated above. If you are interested in coaching or taking on an assistant coaching role please forward your application through to secretary@eagles.asn.au. If coaching or playing is not your thing, we are also looking for people who are interested in umpiring and scorers. You don't need to know how to umpire or score, we have people within the club who are more than willing to teach you what you need to know. Other club news Tonight we held our Annual General Meeting. Thank you to all those members that attended. The committee for this season is President: Sharon Perkins Vice President: Judith Lukas Joint Secretary: Kim Sanderson and Michelle Nichols Asst Secretary: Josephine Kunde Treasurer: Sharon Perkins Uniforms and Equipment: Catherine Gregory Fundraising: Catherine Gregory Junior Development: Deb Kennedy Welcome and thankyou to new members on the committee. It is good to see all positions on the committee filled. A special thanks goes to Margaret Clark who after many years of being Treasurer has decided to take a well deserved break. Margaret was also awarded Honorary Life Membership to the club for her commitment over the last 7 or so years. Come and Try day The Association is running a Come and Try day on Saturday 4th September, from 10am - 2pm at Ridley Reserve, Elizabeth. As a club, we need to support this event through the provision of volunteers to help and on the day. So if you can help, can you please let me know.
